Performance in Carcase Competitions

Outback Shorthorns have recently utilised various forms of carcase competitions to validate the quality of our genetics, and their ability to perform both on feed and in the chiller.

• At the 2012 Sydney Royal Easter Show Outback Shorthorns had 2 members of the 3^rd placed Shorthorn Stan Hill Trophy Team as well as a Bronze medal carcase.
• At the 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show, Outback Shorthorns had a member of the winning Stan Hill Trophy Team.
• In 2010 and 2011 Outback Shorthorns was awarded the John Crilly Memorial Trophy for the highest scoring purebred shorthorn carcase.
• In 2011 at the Dubbo Beef Spectacular, Outback Shorthorns came 1^st in the Export Class on the hook and fourth overall in the Feedlot Trial with a pen of 3 steers sired by Lachlan Master Card.
• In 2007 an Outback Shorthorns steer was awarded the Heavyweight Champion on the hoof, at the Sydney Royal Easter Shorthorn Feature Show.
